Sony Computer Entertainment is Sony's video game development and publishing division based in Japan.
Story
The division was established in 1993, a year before the release of Sony PlayStation console. It suffered a major restructuring in 1995, before the release of Sony's console in the United States.
Soon after the division's establishment, it was tasked with not only hardware development for Sony's gaming consoles, but with assisting the developers with porting their games.
Operations
All the titles developed by SCE are exclusive for Sony's consoles. Most of the studio's titles are the main PlayStation series, such as Uncharted, Crash Bandicoot, Gran Turismo, God of War, and much more.
The division does not prefer specific genres as it is mainly tasked with assisting other developers with development. The studio also collaborates with other indie developers to bring their games to the PlayStation. To this day. SCE is the biggest branch of Sony.
