Konami Digital Entertainment is a Japanese-based video game development division of Konami.
History
The company was officially founded in 2006 after a major restructuring of Konami's operation efforts. Before its establishment, Konami Digital Entertainment was used as a publishing or holding establishment.
Most of modern-day Konami Digital Entertainment consists of its Hong Kong branch that was called Konami Hong Kong Limited before its rename in 2006. Four more branches were established in the coming years, with three of them focusing on game development and the fourth one becoming a music division.
Operations
Konami Digital Entertainment develops titles in the Konami owned franchises as well as original IPs. There is no particular focus on the types of games produced by the studio.
The most popular titles developed by the studio are parts of Konami's own property, such as Metal Gear, Castlevania, Contra, and Yu-Gi-Oh!
