EA Canada is a corresponding division of Electronic Arts video game studios formerly known as EA Vancouver. It was derived from Distinctive Software Inc. and currently incorporates about 1300 employees. The developers lack independency as they only produce titles for publishing by major EA corporation. Among those games are Need for Speed: High Stakes and Medal of Honor: Heroes 2. The group, nevertheless, has later concentrated on producing motion capture effects for the titles and other computer-generated imagery. The sizes of a campus confirm the inclination towards visual production: it implements motion-capture hall and many production studios inside one structure. EA Canada is also involved in the creation of EAGL — the exclusive EA graphical engine used primarily in Need For Speed series and some of EA sports titles. The engine is not supported since the 2011 fall.
