505 Games is an Italian-based video game publisher. It is a division of Digital Bros.
History
The company was founded in 2006. Not much is known about that period. In 2012, 505 Games acquired multiple sport game licenses from THQ that had recently gone bankrupt. In 2015, the company started its collaboration with a Swedish-based developer studio Starbreeze, purchasing the rights for critically acclaimed Brothers: The Tale of Two Sons and later making a deal on publishing Overkill's The Walking Dead as well as Payday 2: Crimewave Edition.
Operations
Originally the company was an Italian game distributor. However, 10 years since its inception, 505 Games became a worldwide game publisher. The company's philosophy is to support the most platforms possible as it released games for Nintendo DS, PlayStation Portable, and other portable platforms as well as PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
The most notable titles published by 505 Games are Sniper Elite III, Payday 2 and several of its editions, Terraria, and Rocket League.
