1C-SoftClub is the biggest Russian-based video game publisher, and translator.
History
The company was founded in 1994 as SoftClub and it specialized on the official localization of foreign games. The first result of translation by SoftClub was MediEvil 2 released in Russia in 2000.
The company takes part in Russian annual video game expo IgroMir since 2006.
The company merged with 1C on February 24th, 2009. It also became an official distributor of Sony Computer Entertainment in 2010. By the end of 2014, the company held over 80% share on CIS countries market.
Operations
1C-SoftClub focuses on the distribution of foreign video games in CIS countries. The company has numerous partnerships with such video game developers and publishers as Electronic Arts, Activision, Konami, Capcom, and Sega as well as numerous Russian companies.
The most notable titles published include Amnesia, Assassin's Creed, Battlefield, BioShock, and Borderlands.
